KNOW WHERE YOU'RE SHOPPING

Recreational Cannabis, One Highway Away

Wisconsin hasn't legalized adult-use cannabis, so the Eau Claire shops that use the word dispensary are generally selling hemp products. Green Canopy holds a Minnesota cannabis retail license from the Office of Cannabis Management, and our cannabis is grown, tested, and tracked under state rules.

Once the federal hemp change takes effect, most hemp THC products over 0.4 mg per container become federally noncompliant. Minnesota's licensed cannabis isn't part of that change. Shop with any valid 21+ ID, and plan to keep your purchase in Minnesota.

Here's how a licensed Minnesota dispensary near the Wisconsin border compares to a hemp shop.

Eau Claire Questions, Answered

If you're heading west on I-94, we're the first licensed dispensary you'll reach after crossing into Minnesota, about an hour from Eau Claire.
It does. Any valid government-issued photo ID showing you're 21 or older works, and you don't need to live in Minnesota.
No. Cannabis can't legally cross state lines, and once the federal hemp change takes effect, neither can most THC hemp products. Plan to keep what you buy in Minnesota.
Minnesota law allows adults 21+ to buy up to 2 ounces of flower, 8 grams of concentrate, or 800 mg of edibles per transaction.
For an hour-long trip, we'd recommend it. Order on our online menu before you leave, and your bag will be ready at the counter, so nothing you came for is sold out.
We take cash and debit cards.

FROM THE CHIPPEWA VALLEY

The Craft Dispensary Serving Eau Claire, WI

Eau Claire is a river town, and so is Lakeland Shores. Green Canopy is a woman-owned, family-operated craft dispensary on the Minnesota bank of the St. Croix, and we're glad to welcome neighbors from the Chippewa Valley.

Since you're driving an hour anyway, make a day of it on the Minnesota side. Stillwater's Main Street is about fifteen minutes north of the shop, and the trails at Afton State Park are a short drive south.

We also welcome shoppers from Chippewa Falls, Altoona, and Lake Hallie, and from I-94 towns like Menomonie and Baldwin. Closer to the border, see our River Falls and Hudson pages.
